Hi. I've just discovered that it's possible to import videos into either the camera roll or the videos app. I wonder if one of these methods is better than the other? The only advantage of the videos app I've noticed so far is that it shows some details about the video (e.g., size, resolution).
If you want to watch movies or videos, than the videos app would be better in my opinion, since things can get jumbled in the camera roll.
Importing them into photos is basically there for those times when you want to import a video taken by your camera into the camera roll.
Update:
I wasn't satisfied with the stock videos app because it didn't show full video titles, so I downloaded a 3rd party app. To my surprise, it allowed me to access both the camera roll videos, as well as the videos uploaded to the videos app. I don't think this level of access was allowed a few years ago. Not bad.
I wonder what happens to the videos imported into the camera roll when the ipad is connected to the laptop with a cable? Will the photos app import all those videos? I've never tried that because I only use photostream of whatever it's called to sync photos wirelessly.
In my experience, videos synced on via iTunes go into the videos app. The ony videos in the camera roll are those shot on the device or imported from a camera via the camera connection kit
